If People Aren’t Buying Your Offer, THIS Might Be Why

Let me tell you a quick story.

Back in 1997, I saw this cute little lady working the front desk at Panther Hall.

She was studying. She looked focused. But also… fine. So naturally, I did what any 19-year-old who thinks he's got game would do…

Nah, I didn’t ask her to marry me on the spot (that would’ve been psycho).
I started a conversation.

Her name was Carrie. And fast forward 27 years later—she’s my wife, the mother of our four amazing kids, and my ride or die.

But none of that would’ve happened if I skipped the basics of building a relationship.

Why does this matter to YOU and your business?

Because if people aren’t buying your offer…
It’s probably not because your product sucks.
It’s not because your price is too high.
It’s because you’re trying to skip the dating phase.

Let me explain.

Most of Y’all Are Proposing on the First Date (and It’s Awkward)

So many healthcare professionals come to me saying:

“Greg, I’ve got this amazing $5,000 offer, but nobody’s buying it!”

Okay… but how long have you been talking to your audience?

How many conversations have you started?

What have you done to show them you understand their actual problem?

See, what most people do is try to skip ahead to marriage.
They go from “Hi, I’m Greg” to “Buy my $45K program” all in one post.

Y’all… that’s wild. That’s not how trust works.

Just like Carrie needed to know more than my name before committing to life with me, your audience needs to know you, like you, and believe you before they say yes.

That’s called the value ladder.

Build the Relationship FIRST, Then Make the Offer

Let’s go back to the Carrie story for a second.

She was struggling with pre-calculus. And I had just taken the class—and crushed it. So instead of bragging about how smart I was, I offered to help. I gave her my number.

She didn’t call.

But I kept showing up. We kept talking. And eventually… we started dating. A few years later? Marriage.

Same thing with business.

Before anyone buys your premium program, they need to:

  1. Know who you are

  2. Feel understood by you

  3. Get value from you—before they pay you

If your audience sees you once and you’re already hitting them with a $3K or $10K offer… they’re gone. You haven’t earned the right.

But if you start a conversation, help them with a real problem, and make it about them, you build trust. You become the person they listen to, learn from, and eventually buy from.

Bottom Line:

If your offer isn’t selling, don’t panic.

Check your value ladder.

Are you dating your audience… or proposing to strangers?

Start the conversation. Help them with something small. Earn the next step.

That’s how you build a real relationship—and a real business.

Want Help Building Your Value Ladder?

This is the stuff most healthcare professionals were never taught.

If you want to learn how to build offers that actually sell—without burnout, sleazy sales tactics, or working more hours—I’d love to help.

We’ll help you figure out exactly where you are in the relationship with your audience…
And how to move them from stranger to client the right way.

Much Love,
Greg Todd
