Let me talk to y’all real quick—especially if Monday’s feelin’ heavy, your to-do list looks like a CVS receipt, and the Sunday Scaries hit you like a truck.
First off: take a breath.
You’re not in this alone.
You see, back in the day when I was treating 15 to 25 patients in one Monday, running two clinics, and trying to be everything to everyone, I’d start my week parked in my car outside our Wesley Chapel office. Just sitting. Just praying.
“God, give me strength. Give me favor with the patients. Help me lead my team well. Let me show up the way YOU want me to.”
And every time—I’d walk into that clinic a little lighter. Because I knew I had backup.
So let me do that for YOU this morning. I prayed over our whole SSHC crew this week. That you’d be strengthened. That you’d have favor. That the right people would see the light in you. That you’d have peace. Real peace—the kind that doesn’t make sense on paper.
Because you’ve got work to do, my friend. And it matters.
Now let me tell you a quick story that lit me up this weekend…
Shoutout to SSHC member Kim Kyle, a rockstar dietitian who’s doing way more than “meal plans” and macros.
My mother-in-law’s been dealing with some health stuff, and Kerry asked, “Don’t you have someone in SSHC who helps with this exact thing?”
I was like, “Yeah… Kim Kyle!” (And in true Greg fashion, I forgot to follow up for a few days 😅 but eventually I did.)
Fast forward to this weekend—we’re in Lakeland at our godchild’s dedication, and my mother-in-law rolls up to the car, pulling at her dress like, “Greg… look!”
It was LOOSE.
She was so hype. Grinning ear to ear. Because for the first time in a long time, she felt like she had control over her health again.
Y’all—she even started telling random people in the church about Kim like she was a walking commercial 😂
She felt empowered. She felt free. And Kim, what you probably thought was basic knowledge? Changed her whole world.
So let me say this loud and clear:
Don’t underestimate the value of what you do.
People need you.
People are praying for answers you’ve been trained and called to give.
But here’s the deal…
If you're only using social media to scroll or stay stuck in an echo chamber (just talking to people with the same problems as you), you're missing your mission.
You need TWO worlds:
A world that supports YOU when you’re feeling low.
A world filled with the people you’re CALLED to help.
The majority of your time? Needs to be in world #2.
Not in your feelings. Not just in Facebook groups.
But in the field—showing up for the people who don’t even know they need you yet.
Will it be hard? Yep.
Will some folks troll you? For sure.
Will it sting sometimes? Absolutely.
But that’s why you come back to your cornucopia (shoutout to my Hunger Games fans). You come back to your people. You come back to this prayer. You come back to the place where you can refuel.
And then?
You get back out there.
Because someone’s freedom might be on the other side of your courage.
Let’s make this week about awareness.
Let’s make it about impact.
Let’s make it about showing up like Kim did—for ONE person—and watching it ripple out.
You’ve already got what it takes.
Let’s go.
Much Love,
Greg
