I didn't know who Charlie Kirk was.
That might sound surprising considering the number of people who were visibly shaken at the event I was attending when they heard the news about his death. Me? I was confused. Everyone around me was deeply impacted, and I had to turn to one of my team members and say, “Yo…who is this guy?”
They gave me a quick overview, and that night, I did what most curious entrepreneurs do — I pulled up YouTube and started watching.
And just like that, I ended up watching 50+ videos from a man who was no longer alive.
Whether I agreed or disagreed with what he said didn’t even matter.
The point is: he still impacted me.
And THAT is what I want to talk to you about.
There are 3 lessons I took from watching Charlie Kirk that I believe every healthcare professional, business owner, and creator should hear — especially if legacy matters to you like it does to me.
Charlie Kirk is gone, but his content is still doing work.
His voice is still out here shaping opinions, sparking discussion, helping people reflect, and moving people to action. Why? Because he created something that lasts longer than him.
And that got me thinking:
If I died today, what have I really left behind?
Look — you don’t need to be a celebrity or a political commentator to leave a legacy.
But you do need something people can point to when you’re no longer here.
Your kids, your community, your profession… what do they get to keep from you?
Content is legacy.
Digital assets are legacy.
Building something people can still watch, learn from, or buy after you’re gone — that’s legacy.
If you don’t have anything yet?
Start building today.
Because tomorrow is not promised.
Charlie Kirk stood for something. You might hate what he said, or you might love it.
But one thing’s for sure: the man had a spine.
In a world full of lukewarm opinions, this guy picked a side, shouted it from the rooftops, and didn’t care who didn’t like it. He knew who he was talking to and didn’t waste time trying to be everything to everyone.
That’s something I wish more healthcare professionals would understand.
You can’t scale impact by being lukewarm.
Stop worrying about the 80% who won’t vibe with you. Get loud for the 20% who will.
That’s how you get remembered.
That’s how you get results.
You don't need everyone to like you — you need your people to know you're the one speaking to them.
This man built a $100 MILLION dollar business — not a nonprofit — from donations.
And not from rich CEOs or Fortune 500 investors.
He got it from college students.
Broke kids.
Young adults with debt and no savings — yet they were sending him money.
Why?
Because he stood for something they believed in, even when they didn’t have the guts to do it themselves.
That hit me hard.
Because some of y’all keep telling yourself, “My audience can’t afford it.”
No. That’s not true.
They can’t afford something that doesn’t feel worth it.
They can’t afford something that doesn’t match their values.
They can’t afford something they’re not convicted about.
But when they believe in it — they’ll find a way.
And if broke college students are bankrolling a 9-figure business…
You really think working professionals with advanced degrees can’t invest in your offer?
Stop using “they can’t afford it” as a reason not to build something meaningful.
I told my kids this the other night.
Most people think you go to school, get a degree, and boom — success.
That ain’t how it works. Not anymore.
You win when you stack skills on top of what you already know.
Charlie Kirk wasn’t the only guy with political opinions or faith.
But he stacked communication, consistency, clarity — and it changed everything.
As healthcare professionals, you already have value.
But if you stack marketing, leadership, content creation, or digital systems on top of your clinical knowledge?
Game over.
We all have a platform.
We all have a message.
But most people never use it.
Charlie Kirk did.
And love him or hate him, his voice still lives on — long after he took his last breath.
The question is:
Will yours?
