Let’s talk about something real.
You ever feel like the biggest resistance to your mission isn’t the internet trolls, your patients, or even your own self-doubt…
…it’s the people closest to you?
You tell them your vision. You’re fired up. You’re finally starting to believe in yourself. And then—you get hit with that look.
That "oh, okay… good luck with that."
Or worse—silence.
And now, you’re second-guessing everything.
If that’s you, I need you to know something:
You’re in good company.
This morning I was reading Mark 6:1-6.
Let me set the scene: Jesus had just healed a woman who’d been bleeding for 12 years. Then He brought a little girl back to life.
Crazy miracles. Big moves.
Then what does He do?
He goes back home.
And instead of being welcomed like a hero, His hometown people hit Him with:
“Wait… isn’t this Mary’s son? The carpenter? Who does He think He is?”
And Jesus responds with a line that’s stuck with me for years:
“A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.”
Whew. Read that again.
Why are you waiting for YOURS to finally believe in you?
Here’s the deal: People don’t resist your mission—they resist your transformation.
They remember the version of you from college.
The “you” that partied, or flaked, or never finished stuff.
The version of you who was a broke therapist, overwhelmed with student debt, scraping by.
They don’t know the YOU you’re becoming.
So yeah—they’re skeptical. And sometimes, they’ll talk down to your dream because they’re scared to face their own.
The truth is… it’s easy for a stranger to believe in you.
They don’t have your past taped to your forehead. They see your potential, not your history.
That’s why sometimes, you gotta get in a new room. A room where people expect you to win. A room where your growth doesn’t trigger people—it inspires them.
That’s what changed my life.
I’ve got family who didn’t believe in me. Friends who thought I was crazy.
But my wife? She believed.
And the right mentors and rooms? They believed.
Even before I did.
You’re not going to make $500K, $750K, or $1M doing what you’re doing now with the same mindset, habits, and circle.
You’re going to have to evolve. You’re going to have to let go of the old version of you.
And guess what?
Not everyone gets to come with you.
And that’s okay.
Because you're not crazy.
You're just early.
If your inner circle doesn’t clap for your wins or support your mission, don’t trip. Even Jesus dealt with that.
Just make sure you believe in what you’re building.
And if you need to borrow belief, that’s why I built this community.
There are thousands of healthcare pros—just like you—making big moves, rewriting their story, and building a life they’re proud of.
So if you need a new room, you’ve got one right here.
