Why I Want Every Healthcare Provider to Build an App by 2026

Good morning, success community.

I want to share a goal I have for every single healthcare provider I work with.

Not just PTs.
Not just practice owners.
Every healthcare professional who says they want to make more money without killing themselves, seeing more patients, or trading every hour for dollars.

Here it is:

I want you to make building an app a goal for 2026.

Before you roll your eyes or say, “Greg, I’m not a tech person,” let me explain why this matters—and why this has never been more realistic than it is right now.

This Community Exists for One Reason

If you’ve been around me long enough, you already know this.

This community exists because healthcare providers told me:

  • “I want to make more money.”

  • “I don’t want to see more patients.”

  • “I don’t want my income capped by my time.”

That’s what you said you wanted.
That’s what I wanted too.

And the reason most people never get there isn’t lack of skill.
It’s lack of leverage.

You already paid a ridiculous amount of money and invested years of your life to become an expert. Your problem is not knowledge.

Your problem is that your knowledge is trapped in implementation only

.

The Four Levels of Value (And Where Most Providers Get Stuck)

One of my mentors, Myron Golden, teaches the four levels of value:

  1. Implementation – doing the thing

  2. Unification – managing and leading people

  3. Communication – teaching, explaining, guiding

  4. Imagination – creating systems, ideas, assets

Every healthcare provider is trained at the lowest level of value.

Implementation.

And don’t get me wrong—it matters. Patients need care. People need help.

But implementation has no leverage.

You get paid only when you show up.
You stop working, the income stops.

What’s wild is this:

Right now, for the first time in history, your mind and your mouth are more valuable than your hands.

And most healthcare providers don’t even realize it.

“I’m Not a Tech Person” Is No Longer an Excuse

Let me tell you something that still blows my mind.

As of today, I’ve built seven apps in 2026 already.
By the time you read this, I’ll probably be on number eight.

One of my former clients paid $100,000 for an app before working with me.

It never sold.
It never took off.
And they didn’t even understand what they were paying for.

Meanwhile, I’m building apps now for free, in minutes, using tools that didn’t exist a year ago.

No coding background.
No tech degree.
No developer team.

Just clarity, imagination, and communication.

If you can learn anatomy, biomechanics, pathology, and clinical reasoning…

You can learn this.

What Building an App Really Means (Hint: It’s Not About the App)

When I say “build an app,” most people hear:

  • “I need to be technical”

  • “This is complicated”

  • “This isn’t for me”

That’s not what I’m talking about.

An app is simply:

  • Your expertise

  • Structured

  • Systemized

  • Delivered without you being there

It could be:

  • A home exercise tracker

  • A habit or accountability tool

  • A patient education platform

  • A community-based program

  • A decision-making assistant

You already know what your patients struggle with.

You already know the questions they ask.
You already know the mistakes they make.
You already know the roadmap to results.

The app is just the vehicle.

This Is Easier Than PT School (And You Know It)

I said this to my team recently, and I’ll say it again here.

When I was in PT school:

  • I didn’t know what the brachial plexus was.

  • I didn’t know innervations.

  • I didn’t know half the things I take for granted now.

But I learned them.

Not because they were easy.
But because I’m human—and humans can learn.

What I’m doing now with apps?

This is not harder than PT school.
It’s not harder than anatomy.
It’s not harder than clinical reasoning.

It’s just new.

And new always feels scary—until it doesn’t.

Why 2026 Is the Line in the Sand

Here’s the truth most people won’t tell you.

Healthcare is not getting simpler.
Reimbursements aren’t getting better.
Burnout isn’t magically disappearing.

At the same time:

  • Technology is removing barriers

  • AI is collapsing costs

  • Software is becoming accessible to non-tech people

This is a window.

And windows don’t stay open forever.

In 5–10 years, building an app won’t be special.
It’ll be expected.

The people who move now won’t just make more money.

They’ll have options.

Two Smart Ways Healthcare Providers Use Apps

Let me give you practical clarity.

1. Direct Monetization

You can:

  • Put an app in the App Store

  • Offer a free version

  • Charge $2–$5/month for premium access

Is that life-changing overnight? No.

But stack that with thousands of users?

Now you’re building leverage.

2. Make Your Website Come Alive (This Is the Sleeper Move)

Most healthcare websites are dead.

Photos.
Forms.
“Contact us.”

Nothing happens.

An app changes that.

When someone interacts with your app:

  • They engage

  • They get value

  • They opt in

  • They raise their hand

Even if you never charge a dollar for the app, it can:

  • Bring you more clients

  • Warm up leads

  • Increase trust

  • Separate you from everyone else

That alone is worth it.

This Isn’t About Becoming a Tech Company

Let me be clear.

I’m not telling you to abandon patient care.
I’m not telling you to become Silicon Valley.

I’m telling you to stop underestimating yourself.

If you can use your mind and your mouth, you can create assets that used to cost six figures.

That’s the world we live in now.

My Invitation to You

This Friday evening, I’m teaching a free masterclass where I break all of this down:

  • How healthcare providers build online products

  • Who will buy your stuff (and who won’t)

  • How to create leverage without being on camera

  • How to launch something in 30 days or less

  • How apps, software, and systems fit into your income strategy

If you want to see this in action and understand how this fits your situation:

👉 Go to: smartsuccesshealthcare.com/opm
👉 Or comment “masterclass” and we’ll get it to you

This is where healthcare is going.

You’re not late.
But you don’t want to wait.

Let’s build something that works for you—even when you’re not there.

Much love,
Greg Todd
