Good morning, my friends.
This weekend slapped me with a reminder I didn’t ask for — but clearly needed.
I missed death by 3 minutes.
Literally.
Let me explain.
It was Mother’s Day weekend, and like a typical GT move, I was scrambling last minute to get everything ready to cook hibachi for Carrie. Went out to grab supplies, picked up a propane tank, loaded it in the back of my car, then remembered Carrie had asked me to drop some stuff off at our place in Largo.
So I hopped out the car, dropped it off, came back, and started heading toward Lowe’s — a quick 5-minute drive.
And then I heard sirens. Cops blocking roads. Something bad had just happened.
And my heart dropped.
Because I knew two of my kids had just left Target — right where all this was going down.
I called my son, and thank God, they were okay. But I found out later that a young linebacker from the University of Miami, home for the weekend, had crashed into a car turning with two kids inside. Four years old. Both ejected from the car. Both gone.
The woman driving — a 78-year-old — died the next morning.
The boy — just 18 — is still fighting for his life.
And I couldn’t stop thinking…
That could’ve been me.
Three minutes earlier… that was my route. That was my errand run. That could’ve been my last grocery trip, my last hibachi run, my last day. Period.
And if it was?
Would I have been okay with what I left behind?
Would I be proud of how I used my time, my gifts, my energy?
Would I be proud of how I lived?
I want to make this real for you, because most people won’t.
They’ll tell you to "be present" and "appreciate life" — and yeah, that’s cool.
But you know what hits harder?
Knowing your time is running out.
We’ve all got an expiration date. We just don’t know when it is.
And yet — people keep acting like they’ve got unlimited chances. Unlimited time to:
Start the business
Quit the job
Create the program
Build the brand
Pay off the debt
Show up for their family
Say what needs to be said
Live the life they actually want
Let me remind you: You don’t.
And if something inside of you has been nudging you — maybe even SCREAMING at you — to make a move?
Now is the time.
Back in 2012, I almost died in my sleep.
My wife found me laying motionless at 2AM.
I’d been grinding, hustling, chasing success… but also carrying stress, pain, and frustration like it was some badge of honor. Until my body said, “No more.”
That moment changed everything.
It made me ask:
“If I go out tomorrow… what legacy am I leaving?”
“Am I truly free — or just faking it with a fancy title and a packed schedule?”
That’s when I built my first online program.
That’s when I stopped trading time for money.
That’s when I stopped pretending I was invincible.
And that’s when I got serious about helping other healthcare pros do the same.
You can keep waiting.
Waiting for more time. More confidence. More clarity.
Waiting for someone to hand you the blueprint.
Waiting until life "calms down" (spoiler: it never will).
Or…
You can decide that today is the day.
The day you stop living on autopilot.
The day you get serious about freedom.
The day you make death scared of you because of what you’re building while you’re alive.
You’ve got one life.
What are you going to do with it?
Let’s talk about it.
Much Love,
Greg Todd
